We’re currently looking for a hard working, loyal and enthusiastic individual to join our growing team. Since Wilde Child transitioned up to its current site in February 2018 the Company has gone from strength to strength by winning multiple awards (3 of them internationally recognised) as well as building an enviable customer base Nationwide. 2020 brings new and exciting opportunities with exportation of our products to Europe and the Far East in the pipeline as well as moving to a larger premises in the local area where a brewery tap will become one of the main features. For the right person, this is an incredibly exciting opportunity to join the team of a forward thinking and progressive brewery that is very much at the forefront of experimentation with flavours and different styles of beers.
Initially the role would predominately be taken up by duties such as local deliveries (full clean UK driving licence required), cask washing, stock takes, stock consolidation and canning line operations & eventually the successful candidate would be trained up on packaging (cask and keg filling) and assisting with brews. For the right person this could be an entry level position that (as the company grows) could lead on to other opportunities within the organisation.
Main duties will include (but not be limited to):
Local Deliveries, Cask Washing, Stock Takes, Stock Consolidation, Cleaning (yes, there’s a lot of that in breweries), handling of logistics, help on open days (optional but you will be paid extra for your time), canning line operations & vessel cleaning.
For the right person this job may lead on to us training you up on the following:
Packaging of beer (cask and keg), assisting with brew days and eventually undertaking them by yourself (upon demonstrating you are capable), being given the opportunity to devise new recipes, meet the brewer events & being given the opportunity to implement new procedures.
In return for your services, we offer the following:
£17,500 per annum (Monday-Thursday 8am til 4.30pm & Friday 8am til 4pm), 20 days holiday per annum + bank holidays + time off at Christmas, beer allowance, career progression opportunities.
Wilde Child is located in Armley, Leeds. It is well situated for somebody with their own transport as it is close to all the main roads in and out of Leeds. Similarly it is only a ten minute walk from Leeds train station and many of the bus routes as well.
Please Note: If you do not have a full clean driving licence or if you think this is an instant gateway job into brewing, then you need not apply. The position will initially and predominantly be the jobs mentioned in the main duties section and only on the back of the successful candidate showing competency and willingness, they will be trained up on other brew house duties.
