Wilde Child Brewing was established in a Leeds garage in 2016 with one clear aim: to produce beers that provoke you into thinking about what you’re drinking and take you on a journey built around extreme flavour.
Fast forward nearly 10 years and we’re now supplying two major supermarkets alongside some of the best pubs, bars and wholesalers across the UK. With a portfolio of 200+ beers brewed on rotation throughout the year, and all packaging (cask, keg and can) completed in-house, we’re a fast-paced, quality-driven, independent brewery — and we’re growing.
We’re now looking for an enthusiastic, detail-obsessed Assistant Brewer to join our Brewhouse team.
This is an excellent opportunity for:
- A motivated homebrewer (minimum 1 year all-grain experience) ready to step into the commercial world
- A brewing graduate (e.g. Heriot-Watt or equivalent)
- Or someone with commercial brewing experience looking to develop further
Commercial experience is preferred, but we’re open to the right person with strong foundational brewing knowledge and the right work ethic.
The Role
You’ll support the production and packaging of our beer across all areas of the brewery. This is a physical, hands-on role in a busy production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wort production and brewhouse operations
- CIP of tanks, casks and brewhouse equipment
- Accurate and detailed record keeping
- Packaging beer into cask, keg and can
- Warehouse duties and stock handling
- Monitoring and maintaining raw materials and packaging stock
- Supporting the wider team as required
- Weekend checks (on a rota basis)
This role involves lifting heavy loads and being on your feet for extended periods — physical fitness is essential.
Homebrewers – Please Read
We are happy to consider applicants with a minimum of 1 year’s all-grain homebrewing experience, provided you can clearly demonstrate your full brewing process from recipe formulation through to packaging and quality control.
Please note:
For homebrewers, initial training will focus on cleaning, packaging, cellar management, and core brewery operations before progressing onto wort production. Brewing responsibility is earned through confidence and competence across the full production process.
