We have been incredibly lucky to adapt to challenging situations throughout the 2020 pandemic. Our online shop, on-site shop and working closely with a large supermarket and independent wholesalers has ensured we are in a position where we can recruit. We’re currently looking for a hard working, loyal and enthusiastic individual to join our growing team. Since Wilde Child transitioned up to its current site in February 2018 the Company has gone from strength to strength by winning multiple awards (10 of them internationally recognised) as well as building an enviable customer base nationwide. 2021 hopes to bring new and exciting challenges with the exportation of our products being an integral part of the growth of the business.
In addition to this, we welcomed the arrival of a new canning line in November which means we are now fully autonomous in terms of producing our products and getting them into small pack in a fairly short period of time. The chosen candidate will be put through some intense and rigorous training under the head brewer for the first 3 months of their probationary period.
Main duties will include (but not be limited to):
Wort production on a 16 hl brew kit, deliveries in the company van, yeast management, full CIP of all fermentation vessels, cask washing, keg and cask filling, work on the canning line, safely operating a forklift truck (full training given if necessary), weekend checks, recording brew day information, stock takes, general cleaning of entire brew house, work closely with the head brewer to ‘get the job done’.
The right candidate will posses the following skills / experience / attributes:
Have 1 year’s ‘all grain’ homebrewing experience, be physically fit enough to carry and move heavy loads (up to 55kg – for those of you not familiar with doing this, there is a safe technique to maneuvering these weights) multiple times a day, be a problem solver and find the solution, FULL CLEAN DRIVING LICENCE, to work in a fast paced / high pressure environment, have a positive mental attitude, ability to comply with chemical handling procedures.
In return for your services, we offer the following:
£19,000-20,500 per annum dependent on experience (Monday-Thursday 8am til 4.30pm & Friday 8am til 4pm) + weekend checks (on a rota basis) and paid extra for your time, 20 days holiday per annum + bank holidays (day off in lieu if we need to work them), career progression opportunities.
